ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT

ABOUT

         

          The department of electrical engineering was established in the year 2010 with intake capacity of 30 students. The department offers 3-year diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Full-Time). The department empowers the students with the proficiency and knowledge required in the field of electrical and electronics engineering to pursue higher education. It also imparts technical knowledge and skills to students towards continuous improvement in education and prepares the students to meet the challenges in the technical advancement to serve the community.

       Our mission is to educate students so that they become enlightened individuals improving the living standards of their families, industry and society. We prepare graduates with technical skills necessary to enter careers in design, application, installation, manufacturing, operation, maintenance of electrical and electronic system and many other similar advanced areas related to engineering.

            To graduate diploma engineers who have the ability to use modern analysis & design techniques and state-of-the-art equipment to solve practical engineering problems.

 

 

ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

  • Strict adherence to the academic calendar.

  • Class tests are conducted on regular basis.

  • 3 periodical tests are conducted as per semester.

  • Weak students are identified and given special coaching.

  • For each subjects 3 assignments are given to students.

  • Each student must give a minimum of 2 seminar presentation.

  • Practical classes are conducted as per syllabus.

  • Project works are done by students during 6th semester.

  3. Electrical Workshop Laboratory

  4. Electrical Machines & Instrumentation Laboratory

  5. Integrated Circuits Laboratory

  6. Microcontroller Laboratory

  7. Control of Electrical Machines Laboratory

  8. Wiring and Winding Laboratory

  9. Power Electronics Laboratory

 

INDUSTRIAL VISITS

 

       To provide insight and knowledge of the industrial environment, students are escorted on industrial visits to firms such as

  1. 110/11KV Mahe Sub-Station

Industrial Training

 

       Students are givenreal time exposure on the latest and trending technologies in the core companies by    sending them for industrial training to various firms such as

  1. KEL (Kerala Electrical & Allied Engineering Co. Ltd), Cochin

  2. Keltron Controls (KCA), Aroor, Aleppey

  3. Keltron Component Complex Ltd, Kannur
